Licensed Practical Nurse-LPN U nit Manager Qua l ifications & Re sponsibi l ities :
- Active, Unencumbe re d New Jersey Practical Nurse L icense
- P re vious l ong-term ca re experience is p re fer re d but not re qui re d
- Prior experience in inpatient, subacute, and pa l l iative ca re is p re fer re d
- Prior experience managing staff is p re fer re d
- Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by : monitoring the distribution of medications, b l ood draws , and other e l ements of patient ca re .
- Conduct nursing rounds on a l l each unit mu l tip l e times throughout the shift
- Provide education, as needed, to staff, re sidents and re sident fami l y members
- Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate t re atment p l ans
- Track t re atments and patient prog re ss according to HIPAA guide l ines
- Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensu re smooth re c overy process for re sidents
- Ensu re staff a re performing a l l duties in accordance with l oca l , state, and federa l guide l ines
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Di re c tor of Nursing, Di re c tor of Nursing or Administrator
