About The Position
Job Title : Histology Technician Job Specialty : Histology Tech Job Duration : 13-week contract Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 17 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Not specified License : In-hand required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Nursys Must-Have : Travel experience highly preferred Job Description : Perform a variety of technical duties related to the preparation, staining, and processing of histological tissue samples.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are sterilized and maintained to meet laboratory standards.- Work efficiently and accurately under time constraints to support timely diagnosis.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling specimens.
- Assist in maintaining records and documentation according to organizational policies.- Required to be COVID-19 and flu vaccinated, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons.
- Participate in a 16-hour orientation program to familiarize with lab procedures and protocols.
