Salary : $45,760.00 to $52,000.00 per year
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and bilingual individual to join our team as a Childcare Assistant Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Center Director in the overall management of the center, ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care.
This includes managing day-to-day operations of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with State, City, and County licensing standards, and assisting in the development and implementation of programs and curriculum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Assist the Center Director in managing day-to-day operations of the childcare center.
- Participate in staff recruitment, training, and development.
- Conduct tours of MARS ELA, enrollment process, and new family orientation; consult with prospective families to promote the values, culture, and goals of MARS ELA.
- Work with Program Supervisor on staffing issues and client issues; report to the Director.
- Utilize information systems tools - Procare Child Care Management System, Teaching Strategies Gold, and Creative Curriculum.
- Work closely with the Director and Program Supervisor to ensure staff compliance with policies and ongoing professional development.
- Assist the Director with the management of the Early Achievers (EA), DCYF, and CCAP programs.
- Oversee administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining the company admin email account.
- Ensure all classrooms have a weekly lesson plan and sign off on them.
- Assist with the ongoing safety and cleanliness of the facility.
- Provide back-up in classrooms as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- BA degree in ECE or related field.
- AA degree or at least 45 ECE credits will be considered with additional experience.
- Must meet DCYF licensing requirements as required for an Assistant Director.
- Attend staff training and meetings, as requested.
- Must obtain a State Certificate (47 credits) within five years from the date of hire or by August 1, 2026.
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is preferred.
