Job Title : Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Job Description :
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality ultrasound images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
Responsibilities :
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring the production of high-quality images.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain and record relevant patient medical history.
- Explain procedures to patients, address their concerns, and ensure their comfort and cooperation during examinations.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, and provide preliminary findings to healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, following established protocols.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and participate in continuing education.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification preferred.
- State licensure as required.
- CPR / BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
Experience :
- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred.
- Proficiency in abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and other ultrasound examinations.
