Position : Contract Engineer
Reports to : Director of Operations
Summary
The Contract Engineer is team member who is authorized, responsible and accountable for conducting and documenting in-depth engineering and contract reviews of contractual, engineering and quality requirements applicable to the part number(s) being ordered.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, responsibilities may include, and not limited to :
- Plans, manages and documents in-depth engineering review of customer’s contract, engineering and quality requirements for compliancy and creation of production job traveler work operations.
- Performs detailed reviews of the entered production planning job against the customer contract in order to verify order entry accuracy.
- Interacts with the customer and sub-contract suppliers as needed in order to ensure that any discrepancies, risks and / or roadblocks that have been identified are resolved with minimal impacts to the business and customer.
- Ensures that the most current revision of any applicable document is obtained and properly identified in the appropriate database so as to be available for employee reference.
- Submits tool completion reports within a customer specific portal upon successful submission of a first article part to the customer.
- Performs additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the Director of Operations.
Requirements :
Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.College degree or equivalent education preferred.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Ability to pass a background check.Detail orientated, strong analytical skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and plan work to meet deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient verbal and listening abilities with a diverse work team, customers and coworkers.Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions and proficient at using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook. JobBOSS, and CATIA and / or SolidWorks, experience preferred.
