POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Operations Manager is a leader in the Finance Shared Services Department leading the Procure to Pay (P2P) team.
Their responsibility is to manage the team and services provided to meet or exceed the service level agreements with internal business units.
The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for providing their team with training, coaching, and career development. The role will routinely be asked to solve moderate to complex problems arising from internal and / or external customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily management of assigned functions to include responsibilities such as staffing, goal setting, performance management, mentoring, and development of leaders
- Assist with developing parts of the budget and managing costs based on the established budget
- Develop metrics for team use and perform data analysis to monitor team processes and performance
- Execute controls and control testing as directed and propose modifications when appropriate
- Build a high-functioning team to delegate routine tasks and responsibilities
- Support business strategies by understanding the work and serving as a trusted advisor to build a high level of communication and engagement with business leaders
- Assist Finance Operations Director with creating strategic department initiatives and occasionally lead such initiatives.
- Manage and maintain all training processes
- Investigate and resolve escalated situations and report solutions to stakeholders and leaders when applicable
- Prioritize continuous learning to develop self professionally
- Seek collaboration with internal partners to identify opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness
- Create internal memos, presentations, data visualizations, project charters, policies, and a strategic roadmap

- Balance risk and cost control while supporting business objectives using innovative solutions
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience preferred
- Proven project management and execution leadership
- Display strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills while working without supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, easy-to-understand manner
- High level of proficiency in working with Microsoft Office products
- Capacity to process information quickly and discern relevant data to reach appropriate decisions
- Values and demonstrates a process improvement mindset and challenges direct reports to do the same
- Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders
- A strong "client service" mindset and the ability to use collaborative and non-adversarial approaches in achieving diverse goals
- Proven skill in strategic thinking, accelerating change, and relationship management
