Certified Family Peer Support Worker (Non-Exempt / Hourly Position)

A Certified Family Peer Support Worker is a trained and certified professional who provides support and guidance to families, particularly those navigating complex child-serving systems. FPSWs have lived experience parenting a child with mental health or developmental needs, and they offer education, support, and advocacy to empower families.
What You'll Do :
- Provide one-on-one peer support services using personal recovery experience
- Assist individuals in developing their own recovery goals and action recovery plans
- Support individuals in identifying and accessing community resources
- Document services provided in accordance with organizational requirements
- Maintain appropriate boundaries while building trust-based relationships
- Advocate for individuals within the healthcare system and community
- Demonstrate ability to share recovery story appropriately and effectively
- Maintain personal wellness and ongoing recovery
- Understanding of multiple pathways to recovery
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
What You Need :
Applicants must be certified as FPSW (Family Peer Support Worker) in the State of New MexicoMust be at least 21 years of age or olderHave a high school diploma or equivalentBe the parent or primary caregiver of a child or youth with a mental health condition or substance abuse issueHave navigated child serving systemsComplete a 40 hour week certification trainingMust have an active driver's license and be in compliance with all New Mexico state vehicle requirements.Ability to sit, stand, and move around for extended periodsCapacity to work in various community settingsComputer use for documentation and communicationWe Offer :
