Compliance and Training Specialist
Full Time Hybrid Day Shift 8am-5pm
Up to $55,000 / year; based on experience
Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Compliance and Training Specialist for Faith Mission in Columbus, Ohio.
Faith Mission is one of the largest homeless shelters in Columbus, Ohio , providing meals and shelter to men, women and Veterans with dignity and compassion.

What will I do as a Compliance and Training Specialist with Lutheran Social Services?
- Collaborate with the Director of QPI, ED of Faith Mission, and DOO of Faith Mission to develop consistent and relevant training programs across all Faith Mission services.
- Work with the DOO and ED to design training structures, curricula, and a comprehensive training calendar for all employees.
- Assist Faith Mission management in assessing and enhancing the skills of their team members.
- Schedule and organize training sessions, including inviting staff, informing managers and trainers, following up with non-respondents, confirming attendance lists, producing training rosters, and ensuring attendees receive appropriate credit for participation.
- Oversee actions for staff who miss scheduled training, including rescheduling and informing managers of potential disciplinary actions in collaboration with program leadership.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure that training materials and policies are consistently implemented, updated, and utilized appropriately within Faith Mission.
- Collaborate with Faith Mission Leadership to design or review online training modules as needed.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Directors, Managers, and staff across all Human Services programs.
- Prepare and submit accurate internal and external reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on areas of responsibility, including submitting monthly reports to the Director of Operations or ED by the first of each month.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of a 24 / 7, 365-day operation.

Requirements for a Compliance and Training Specialist with Lutheran Social Services :
- Bachelor's degree in education or a social services field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous training experience within health and human services programs.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience conducting training / presentations for groups of various sizes.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
- Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required.
