Job Summary
- The Office of Diversity Affairs (ODA) at the Leeds School of Business welcomes applications for a Program Manager! Key responsibilities for this role include leading the general recruitment and yield initiatives for diverse students to Leeds;
- ODA outreach and retention programs; managing the EXCEL Scholars Program communication plan and application referral process;
- managing scholarship selection for incoming Diverse Scholars; managing a student caseload within the Diverse Scholars Program (DSP);
monitoring and developing appropriate interventions for DSP retention; and monitoring, evaluating and developing program curriculum to assist in successful student transitions.
The program manager is key in building relationships with students which directly impacts student satisfaction both ODA and Leeds.
This position reports to the Director of ODA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Recruitment Lead
- Responsible for the recruitment of underrepresented students to Leeds in partnership with the Leeds Office of Recruitment & Scholarship and CU Office of Admissions.
- Build and implement the full cycle communication plan for "urge to apply" and "confirm" for diverse students to Leeds and the EXCEL Scholars Program invitees, and include an "urge to interview" campaign for EXCEL.
- Manage outreach campaigns; create calling scripts, secure volunteers, training, and documentation.
- Responsible for the connections with local and national resources to increase the number of matriculating diverse students at Leeds.
Build and implement a school visit plan to strengthen partnerships with key high schools.
- Develop and lead pre-college-specific programs, admission / recruitment programs, and activities that support the participation and matriculation into the Leeds School of Business and the Diverse Scholars Program, including but not limited to, Business at a Glance, EXCEL Scholars reception, Diverse Scholar informational sessions, etc.
- Serve as the liaison for CU-wide special programs targeted for the recruitment and matriculation of underrepresented students, such as D.
I.V.E. Day, Black and Gold Reception, Admitted Buff Days, Admitted Student Day, and Area Visits.
Represent Leeds and the ODA at events and funnel all interested students to the college and ODA programs.
Caseload Management
- Conduct and manage supplemental advising and academic coaching for Diverse Scholars Program (DSP) participants.
- Collaborate with Leeds Undergraduate Programs and corporate partners on student development outcomes; monitor, evaluate, and improve the DSP support system as it relates to student academic and career paths.
Program Management
Responsible for the planning and execution of the Business Leadership Program (BLP); monitoring and evaluating all activities;
and implementing all policies directed by Youth Programs.
- Recruit, select, train, and supervise BLP student team leaders; provide support for student leaders for managing student conflict and supporting the mental well-being of participants.
- Update and manage the application system; recruit, select, and orient BLP participants.
- Coordinate corporate partner involvement.
- Create and implement post-program engagement and communication plan for BLP alumni as part of larger Leeds recruitment strategies.
Administrative Leadership
- Track DSP participation scholarship and manage the awarding process.
- Develop relationships with other Leeds offices, faculty and students on a professional level. This role is key in building relationships with students;
directly impacts student satisfaction for not only the Office of Diversity Affairs but for the Leeds School of Business.
What You Should Know
This position offers a hybrid work modality, with two remote days per week. Multiple evenings and weekend days will be required throughout the year (approximately 10-15 times per year) with advance notice.
The summer schedule will vary based on programming.
What We Can Offer
The annual hiring range for this position is $60,000-$64,000. Relocation is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of professional experience in student development or student services, working with traditionally underrepresented or under-served students.
- Experience with student program planning and implementation or community outreach.

What We Would Like You to Have
- Formal training and / or professional experience in student development in higher education, cross-culturally competent service development.
- Experience working with underrepresented undergraduates and / or high school students.
- Proficient Spanish speaker.
- Program implementation strategies specific to business students.
- Experience managing student staff.
- Experience using Slate, Qualtrics, Salesforce and Airtable, or similar systems.
