Job Title : Senior Estimator

Role Summary : As a Senior Estimator, you will leverage your expertise to produce accurate estimates that enhance both profitability and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities :
Bid Review : Thoroughly review bid packages, including all documents, plans, blueprints, and drawings.
Project Analysis : Evaluate project requirements to determine manpower, material costs, and subcontractor needs.
Detailed Take-Offs : Perform comprehensive take-offs from drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Scheduling : Utilize project planning software to create detailed project schedules.
Vendor Negotiation : Obtain and negotiate bids from vendors and subcontractors.
Cost Estimation : Develop precise total project cost estimates and suggest options for increased efficiency.
Collaboration : Work with managers and supervisors to review bid estimates and project plans.
Relationship Management : Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and clients.
Team Participation : Engage in team meetings, bid reviews, and safety meetings.
Regional Travel : Travel within the region as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating construction projects within the $1-10 million range.
Proficiency in estimating software, preferably InEight.
In-depth knowledge of construction practices in industrial environments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bid documents.
Experience with conceptual estimating and proficiency with estimating databases.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Working Conditions :
Primarily office-based with occasional outdoor work.
Exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and high noise levels.
Periods of prolonged sitting and standing may be required.
