The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for an insurance claims professional to join our Personal Lines team as a Claims Manager.
How you will have an impact at TPG
The primary role of the Claims Manager is to support Personal Insurance Advisors and Account Managers in resolving claims issues.
This individual will act as a liaison, advocating for clients and ensuring timely claim resolution, as well as perform technical and administrative tasks requiring industry experience and knowledge, ultimately contributing to the organization’s overall success.
What a typical day in this role looks like :
- Claims Resolution : Lead and resolve complex claims, ensuring client satisfaction and smooth progress of major losses.
- Communication : Update clients, advisors, and account managers on claim status; collaborate with carriers for prompt settlements.
- Coverage and Audits : Evaluate client coverage, recommend improvements, and help in identifying coverage gaps.
- Client and Team Education : Educate clients on the claims process and provide training on claims trends and carrier experiences.
- Product Management : Manage onboarding and service delivery for new employer groups; report monthly on new business and renewals.
- Special Projects and Development : Lead / support special projects and maintain industry knowledge for continuous improvement.
Key details
Location : Renton, WA or Portland, OR strongly preferred - hybrid eligible
Hours : 40 hours / week, Mon-Fri
Salary Range : $80,000-90,000 annually (DOE)
Physical Requirements : Ability to sit for extended periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle extended periods of screen time.
Travel : Minimal overnight travel as business needs may require (such as visiting other TPG office locations)

What you’ll bring to the table
- At minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A completed bachelor’s degree and / or a combination of comparable work experience is preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in the field of personal lines claims handling or administration is required.
- An active Property & Casualty license is required.
- Property experience is essential (i.e., handling homeowners’ claims, such as fire damage, water losses, windstorm damage repairs that span several months and that experience many delays).
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills; critical thinking and research skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- A high level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail
What will make you really stand out
- Two to five (2-5) years of Carrier-side claims experience.
- Prior experience specifically related to auto physical damage (i.e., knowing how to guide clients through car repairs after a collision or physical damage loss.)
- Ability to communicate with clients professionally, kindly, and with empathy
- Ability to handle multiple requests under tight deadlines
- Strong self-sufficiency and able to work independently, as well as in team settings
