Website : Heritage Oaks Hospital is currently looking for a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our Nursing Team! The PCT provides direct care and support to patients under the supervision of the registered nurse.
This includes assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as taking vital signs and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
The PCT is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, following established protocols for infection control and patient safety.
The PCT fills a crucial role in providing emotional support to patients and their families during their hospital stay, fostering a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Perform basic patient interventions including measuring vital signs, observing skin condition, and monitoring intake and output to report any changes to the nursing staff.
Provide instruction on the use of medical equipment and assistive devices, ensuring patients understand their purpose and operation.
Collaborate with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
