Location : Anchorage, AK

Pay : $250,000 - $275,000 PY

COMPANY INFO :

Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a leading company managing one of the worlds largest undeveloped gold deposits. This project is poised to be among the few gold mines globally that produce over one million ounces of gold annually.

WHAT YOULL DO :

• Leadership and Strategic Oversight :
• Drive the project forward by overseeing strategic planning, execution, and risk management.
• Report directly to the Board of Directors of the Joint Venture, ensuring alignment with both partners' expectations.
• Integrate strategic directives with operational realities to meet the highest safety and environmental standards.
• Project Management :
• Develop and manage work plans and budgets, providing monthly reporting and forecasts.
• Coordinate and manage all project studies, including mining, mineral processing, hydrogeological, geotechnical, environmental, and Indigenous engagement studies.
• Ensure effective staffing and performance of Integrated Project Teams across disciplines.
• Maintain and secure necessary permits, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual responsibilities.
• Community and Stakeholder Engagement :
• Enhance the project's license to operate by playing a key role in community relations and engaging with external stakeholders regularly.
• Collaborate with key partners, including local organizations and authorities, to foster strong relationships.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement :
• Champion business initiatives focused on safety and continuous improvement.
• Promote and implement effective project management practices and innovative approaches to maximize the value of mineral resources.

REQUIREMENTS :

• 10-15 years of project leadership experience, preferably as a study manager, area manager, engineering manager, or project manager.
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Geology, or a related discipline.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in mining and / or development studies, with a solid understanding of components essential for successful mining operations.
• Significant experience working in remote mining project settings.
• Proven ability to manage capital cost expenditures for major projects.
• Knowledge of pertinent Federal and Alaska State Laws, Regulations, and permitting processes.
• Strong experience managing key partner relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to present detailed and complex concepts succinctly and evaluate alternative options effectively.
• Demonstrated history of delivering results.
• Post-offer background screening, physical, and drug test required.
