Berliner Cohen LLP has an immediate opening for a Receptionist in our San Jose office.
Requirements include a professional appearance and demeanor, as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A minimum of five years of reception and administrative experience is required. Dependability and punctuality are critical factors for this role.

Experience in the legal field would be a plus! This role is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.
Job responsibilities include :
- As a receptionist, you will maintain a professional, cheerful, and helpful attitude when interacting with clients, attorneys, and staff.
- Answer incoming telephone calls within two rings, using proper telephone etiquette per our policies, direct all calls (prescreening to attorneys / staff).
- Greeting clients and guests.
- Monitoring conference room scheduling and set-up and waiting time of clients in the lobby.
- Maintain a clean waiting area for clients and decorate according to the holiday.
- Assist management and attorneys with ad-hoc projects.
- Managing parking validation for clients for the parking garage.
- Maintain internal phone lists and other similar items.
- Assist with deliveries and coordinating with other departments.
- Scanning documents and entering information into a database.
- Check absence box for calls, draft absence report and send updates daily.
- Other clerical tasks as assigned
- The Receptionist’s hourly pay range is expected to be between $23.00 to $26.00. The successful candidate for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range;
however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.
