About The Position
Job Title : Travel Histology Technician Job Specialty : Histology Tech Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Mid 5x8-Hour (3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM);
Night 5x8-Hour (11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Experience : Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in histology with expertise in microtomy and paraffin embedding License : Must have a valid and relevant license Certifications : ASCP-HT (American Society for Clinical Pathology - Histotechnician) Must-Have : Strong attention to detail- Excellent organizational skills- Ability to work independently Job Description : Seeking skilled candidates for either 2nd or 3rd shift.
2nd shift : Flexible start time between 2 : 00 PM and 6 : 00 PM (3 : 00 PM is the norm) - 3rd shift : Flexible start time between 8 : 00 PM and 12 : 00 AM (11 : 00 PM is the norm)- No weekend work- Some optional overtime may be available as needed Responsibilities : Routine paraffin embedding- Microtomy and sectioning for routine H&E staining- Perform immunohistochemistry and molecular procedures- Processing information and office orders- Minimal special staining and processing duties- Applicants must complete fingerprints promptly and follow detailed instructions provided by the credentialing team Additional Information : Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions only- Candidates must be aware of and comply with fingerprinting requirements immediately upon contract signing- Pre-approved time off must be submitted before contract confirmation- Strong compliance deadlines, with an emphasis on responsiveness and cooperation during the credentialing process Orientation : 24 hours (non-billable)
