Job Description

Important : This is a hybrid-role working at least 2 days per week in the Irving, TX office.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Epsilon is seeking a Senior Database Developer to join our strong and steady Development team. You will implement, maintain, and support proprietary database systems as part of our technical delivery team.

Your primary responsibilities will focus on the development, implementation and testing of data extraction, transformation and load programs for large database projects.

Work together to win together : The Senior Database Developer will report to the Vice President, Development. You will work closely alongside our internal teams of Quality Assurance, Business System Analysts, and Project Managers.

Innovate with purpose : As part of the technical delivery team, you will work alongside the internal project delivery team to design solutions and implement programs according to the requirements and timelines specified in the statement of work.

Impact : You will aggregate data sources for the clients to deliver targeted marketing campaigns and develop custom CRM solutions.

Also, you may have an opportunity to level up to a Lead Database Developer role helping to mentor more junior developers and hone your leadership skills.

Who You Are

What you’ll bring with you : Strong experience working as part of a Tech team, understanding business requirements, functional, and technical specifications while analyzing and defining data flow requirements and preparing applicable system documentation and operation manuals.

Experience developing using core solution standards and implementing initial data loads for database marketing projects. Performing transformation and loading of data according to the business specifications.

Experience defining, preparing, executing, and implementing data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality.

Experience with maintenance of applications using Oracle and Linux software; must have strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, analytics functions, exchange partitions, and bulk load functionalities (MBulk).

Initiative you possess a strong can-do attitude to overcome challenges and are capable of self-directing with the ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects;

you have a motivation to learn new applications and domains.

Problem Solving excellent analytical skills and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly.

Collaboration proven experience working collaboratively alongside various teams across the organization. You are a team player with good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Organization you are deadline focused, well organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.

Why you might stand out from other talent : Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)

Experience in the marketing industry

5+ years of overall database development experience.

5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse development.

Knowledge and experience with : Unix KSH scripting ability to come up with functions, create custom wrappers to support the file load process

TFS, or other source code control tools.
