About The Position
Job Title : Oncology Social Worker (Day Shift)
We're seeking a licensed Social Worker with Oncology experience. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in social work and a Maryland Social Work License (LCSW or LCSW
C). Equivalent active licenses are acceptable during emergencies, given MD board application is filed for clearance.
Key Skills and Experience :
- Hospital experience, preferably in Oncology or Palliative / hospice care.
- Proficiency with EPIC.
- Expertise in biopsychosocial assessments, care plans, care coordination, and discharge planning.
- Knowledge of health insurance, financial implications of chronic illness, and regional / state / federal resources.
- Experience in crisis counseling, suicide assessment, short
- term counseling, family meetings, end of life and advance care planning.
- Comfortable working with seriously ill patients and families in a fast
- paced academic health care setting.
- Familiarity with Telehealth systems and EPIC.
