Summary :
The Tax Technical Mentor will play a critical role in supporting the professional development of new associates within the tax department.
The Tax Technical Mentor will serve as a subject matter expert and resource for new associate hires, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to help them deepen their technical knowledge and enhance their proficiency in their line of work.
By reviewing workpapers, holding office hours, leading trainings, and collaborating with project leaders you’ll identify performance trends and work with members of the learning and development team to support training goals.
Job Responsibilities :
- Review projects prepared by Associates and provide feedback
- Work with the Integration Career Coach, Project Leaders, and A&A Technical Mentor to identify performance trends, then provide training and coaching to support learning gaps
- Deliver individual and group training on tax concepts applicable to the associate level
- Ensure employees meet learning milestones
- Partner with members of the learning and development team to design and deliver impactful learning experiences that support Firm goals
- Partner with scheduling and other Technical Mentor to provide diverse project opportunities
- Supervise up to 25 Associates at a time
- Review trends in project realization and develop efficiency strategies
- Hold office hours for associates to ask questions real time
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working in taxation, or related accounting field required
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Experience mentoring in a remote environment
- Strong understanding of career development principles, coaching techniques, and adult learning theory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels of the organization
- Empathetic listener and skilled problem-solver, with the ability to provide meaningful support and guidance to individuals facing career challenges
- The ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a passion for helping others succeed and grow in their careers
- Knowledge of accounting industry trends, roles, and career paths is a plus
- Understanding of each niche's basic accounting

Compensation Range : $$85,000 to $95,000 / year*
