The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Marketing and Communications.
This key leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to elevate the school’s reputation, enhance engagement with diverse constituents, and drive enrollment growth.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing, communications, and brand management with a particular focus on digital innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Planning : Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that aligns with the school's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Brand Management : Oversee the development and maintenance of the school’s brand, ensuring consistency and alignment across all platforms and communications.
- Content Creation : Lead the creation of compelling content for digital, print, and social media platforms to engage with prospective students, alumni, donors, and the broader community.
- Media Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets to enhance the school's visibility and reputation through press releases, media pitches, and other public relations activities.
- Digital Marketing : Manage the school’s online presence, including the website, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging.
- Event Promotion : Oversee the promotion of events, conferences, and other public engagements, ensuring effective communication and outreach strategies are in place.
- Internal Communications : Develop and implement strategies for effective internal communication to ensure alignment and engagement among faculty, staff, and students.
- Data Analysis : Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize results.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree and seven years of related supervisory / management experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications :
Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within higher education or a related field.
Proven leadership experience is essential.
