Salary : $29.80 - $35.00 hourly
Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness.
AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness.
Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.
We are looking for an engaged and energetic registered nurse to join our diverse provider team. We are looking for someone who has worked in a family practice / primary care setting and has experience working in a street outreach or community health settings.
They would be adept in screening and prioritizing clients. We need a candidate that has general experience in all types of wound care and would prefer someone certified for this specialty.
The position requires strong verbal and written communication and the ability tow work in integrated care teams. This position will work in our medical clinic and will work part-time in the field doing street medicine as a member of the Integrated Outreach Team.
Additionally, this position requires a high level of computer proficiency and knowledge of working in an EHR / EMR.
Minimum Qualifications :
Registered nurse with a license to practice in New Mexico
Preferred Qualifications :
- Spanish speaking
- Experience working in a primary care setting with underserved populations or people experiencing homelessness
- Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma informed philosophies
