  • Experience in CrowdStrike is a requirement for this role, in addition to general cyber security knowledge and experience
  • This role is onsite 4 days a week in Houston (77046)

Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Security Analyst / Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. This individual will play a key role in proactively identifying, investigating, and mitigating threats to our environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in firewalls, EDR, SIEM, application control, PAM, and threat hunting, with a strong background in incident response.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and analyze security events across SIEM, EDR, and other telemetry sources
  • Implement new cyber security tools from the ground up
  • Perform incident triage, containment, investigation, and response activities
  • Lead and contribute to threat hunting initiatives to detect advanced threats
  • Manage and optimize firewall configurations and rulesets
  • Support application control and PAM (Privileged Access Management) enforcement
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Document incidents, root cause analysis, and mitigation strategies
  • Recommend and implement security improvements across tools and processes

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a Cyber Security role
  • Experience with :
  • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms (CrowdStrike)
  • SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel)
  • Threat hunting methodologies and tools
  • Vulnerability Management (e.g., Rapid7, Nessus, Qualys)
  • Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)
  • Application control and PAM tools (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust)
  • Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes and attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation for investigation and remediation is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Security+, CySA+, CEH, GCIH, or equivalent
