Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting preferred
- Experience with AAC devices
- IEP experience preferred but not requried
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate patients functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to address areas of need.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive abilities.
- Adapt and modify environments, equipment, and activities to support patients participation and independence.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques for maximizing independence and safety.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
