Columbia College Online Education is accepting applications for adjunct (part-time) instructors to meet our changing needs.

After completing the application process, the candidate's application will be considered active for two years. Qualified applicants will be contacted if an opening in their respective fields becomes available.

• After two years, candidates may reapply to update their application and restate their interest. Qualifications : Minimum qualifications to teach undergraduate courses include a PhD or Master’s Degree in History with significant graduate coursework (at least 6 hours) in areas such as the social, political, religious and intellectual history of the Middle East from the 1700s to the present day;
• tensions between reform and purifying impulses in Islamic religious currents; western imperialism; paths of modernization;

the Arab-Israeli conflict; and / or the historical context for the emergence of political Islam. Required Application Materials :

Official graduate transcripts will be required upon offer of employment. The offer of employment and assignment to duties is contingent upon successful completion of our new instructor training course and a satisfactory criminal background check.
