Location :  Irvine, CA (100% onsite, approximately 50% of time on test setup and operation)

What You’ll Do

  • Set up battery cells into fixtures and testing systems following engineering direction.
  • Register, label, and handle cells in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of ongoing battery lifetime testing.
  • Review test data and progress; promptly report issues to cell engineers.
  • Fabricate test fixtures, wiring harnesses, and other testing tools as directed by engineers.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures, present facility updates to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with laboratory equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Follow all laboratory maintenance procedures and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment and instruments..

What You’ll Need

  • Proficiency with general computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Remote Desktop Connection).
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and tool communication using Ethernet / IP and CAN protocols.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail in handling samples and performing test setup.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with light machine tools, soldering, wiring, and harness fabrication.
  • Skilled in using multimeters, soldering irons, wire strippers, and similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Awareness of safety procedures for working with high-voltage equipment and lithium-ion batteries.
  • Strong problem-solving, creative, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
