We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. As an ER RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, emergency care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of recent emergency nursing experience, with preference given to those who have 2 years of experience and are familiar with the Epic electronic health record system .
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, following established protocols and nursing practices.
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, technicians, and other healthcare providers, to deliver coordinated care.
- Float to like units as required, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele) , and take on full patient assignments as necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in the Epic electronic health record .
- Respond to emergencies, and provide critical care as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Licensure : Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in State .
- Experience : At least 1 year of recent experience in an emergency department setting preferred (will consider candidates with 1 year of experience).
- Certifications : Current ACLS , BLS , and PALS certifications required.
- Epic Experience : Familiarity with the Epic electronic health record system is a plus.
- Skills : Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to handle high-stress situations, excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Requirements :
- Must be able to float to like units, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele).
- Must work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.
