The Project Manager will oversee and manage real estate projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and internal teams, to ensure that all real estate initiatives align with A New Leaf's mission and standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, experience in real estate development, and a commitment to supporting the organization’s community-focused goals.
Annual Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 DOE
Schedule : Monday Friday; 8am 5pm
Location : Mesa, AZ
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Must be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a college program with a focus on Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience :
- Excel skills, including the ability to create and navigate Gantt charts.
- Strong financial analytical skills with a solid understanding of affordable multi-family housing finance.
- Experience with development and operating budgets is required, along with the ability to negotiate with housing developers and investors.
- Knowledge of issues and evolving best practices related to the development and operation of permanent supportive housing for homeless and special needs populations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibilities will include but not limited to :
- Provide staff support through project management to ensure projects are set-up for success by managing timelines, deliverables, and scope.
- Conduct reviews and analyses of budgets for affordable housing projects.
- Assist Real Estate Director in compliance with financial, county, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide support for homelessness and affordable housing initiatives.
- Manager public lending requirements, workflow, and timing in the administration of local, state, and federal funds, especially as it applies to the leveraging of other public funding sources.
- Assist in supportive services, property management, coordinated entry systems, rental subsidies, and local, state, and federal homeless programs.
- Evaluate and monitor the construction development of housing projects to ensure the integration of services with permanent and transitional housing.
- Perform a wide range of activities related to policy analysis and research, including designing, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, reporting, and monitoring real estate programs and objectives aimed at creating new and preserving existing affordable and special needs / homeless housing.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to contractors and community organizations.
- Prepare timely, complete, accurate and concise written technical documents, including the preparation of reports for deliberation and approval.
- Handle various administrative tasks, including preparing project budgets, disseminating Notices of Funding Availability and Requests for Proposals (RFP) or Qualifications, evaluating submitted applications, performing procurement tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Create / sort / organize / update materials in online project software.
- Perform computer-related tasks using Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, Loop).
- Work within project timelines and hold others accountable.
- Schedule and assist with project meetings.

- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
