Location : Leaving from Lincolnwood office and Southside office M-F

We are currently seeking a dedicated and punctual Paratransit Aide to join our team.
Position Overview : As a Paratransit Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of students during their commute to and from school.
Your responsibilities will include escorting children from their homes to our Minivans and from our vans to the schools, and vice versa.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that students are properly buckled in with a seatbelt or car seat (if needed) for their safety during the journey.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely escort students from their homes to their designated transportation and from transportation to the school premises
- Assist students in boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring seat belts are fastened securely, and car seats are used when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of punctuality to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Establish clear and effective communication channels with management, team members, schools, and families of the students.
- Collaborate with the transportation team to address any special requirements or concerns related to individual students.
- Act as a point of contact for parents or guardians, providing updates on transportation schedules as needed.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is preferred.
- Punctuality and excellent time management skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A high level of patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students.
