Position Description :

The Body Controls team is currently undergoing a transition to a new requirements system and architecture development. This transition has resulted in a significant backlog of specifications that require conversion to a new format, as well as the creation and maintenance of a structured framework to accommodate these specifications.

We are seeking a dedicated team to lead this migration and oversee the establishment of a robust foundation in the new requirements system, JAMA, over the next 12-18 months.

The project encompasses three main components : 1. Legacy Conversion : Converting old specifications to the new atomic format in JAMA 2.

JAMA Structure Creation : Establishing placeholders and managing the structure within JAMA. 3. Requirement Review : Ensuring adherence to base standards and ongoing maintenance of requirements.

Furthermore, the team is expected to function as a Scrum team, comprising 8-10 members at maximum, with a designated Product Owner responsible for managing daily activities and escalating any blockers or issues to the Ford team for assistance.

The team is envisioned to start with a smaller size, gradually scale up to 8-10 members, and eventually scale down as the workload diminishes.

Skills Required :

  • Technical requirement development experience in software based functions
  • Experience with requirements management system (JAMA, DOORS, etc)
  • Familiarity with INCOSE, EARS or other requirements standards / best practices
  • 7+ years of engineering work experience
  • 5+ years of Algorithm Design for Embedded hardware and / or software design
  • 5+ years of experience with control theory and algorithm design via truth tables and finite state machines
  • Familiarity with JAMA, JIRA, and Github
  • Familiarity with CANalyzer, AutoSAR, SOA and Functional Safety
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience in working with and / or for an electronics control manufacturer
  • Work with Feature / Platform other engineers to ensure requirements are linked to higher level requirements with clearly delineated linkages to regulatory and functional safety requirements.

Experience Required :

  • 2+ years Experience developing robust requirements and test cases.
  • 1+ Experience in the identified applications / tools.

Education Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study
