WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract CT Technologist for a local contract job in New Hyde Park, New York.

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an CT Technologist for a contract assignment at Prestigious Imaging Center in New Hyde Park, NY.

Job Function : \n

  • Day Shift.

    • \n

  • 4x10 : 7am-5 : 30pm.

    • \n

  • Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering their questions, and providing support.

    • \n

  • Spreading the ultrasound gel on the surface of patients' bodies over the internal area to be imaged.

    • \n

  • Programming and adjusting the scanner for the specific procedure and ensuring the transducer captures images from every angle or section as needed.

    • \n

  • Deciding which still images, or sonograms, to capture and present to the Physician for diagnostic purposes.

    • \n

  • Evaluating the images for quality and interpreting the images to assist the Physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases.

    • \n

  • Assisting Radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.

    • \n \n

    Job Requirements : \n

    Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program.

    \n

    \n

    Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).

    \n

    \n

    1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech in a hospital setting required.

    \n

    \n

    ARDMS (Breast) certification preferred.

    \n

    \n

    ARRT certification preferred.

    \n

    \n

    BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

    \n

    \n

    Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred.

    \n
