Lead Electrical Engineer (Plant Design)
Currently partnered with a Consulting firm lookig to add a Lead Electrical Engineer to their top-tier Energy & Industrial Group renowned for advancing renewable energy, carbon capture, and green hydrogen technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead design and analysis of electrical systems for diverse projects, from plant retrofits to new installations.
- Develop power distribution designs and prepare specifications for major electrical equipment procurement.
- Ensure projects meet specifications, codes, and client requirements, on time and within budget.
- Oversee functional design drawings and detailed calculations, including power system studies and arc flash calculations.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate in a project team environment.
- Travel to client sites and vendor offices for design reviews and field verification.
Qualifications :
- BSEE degree (ABET-accredited), with a focus on power systems preferred.
- PE license preferred or the ability to obtain one.
- Around 10 years in power plant or industrial plant design, including integrated system design and equipment selection.
- Proficient with ETAP or SKM for calculations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment and experience in client liaison roles.
Valued Skills :
- Knowledge in instrumentation and controls engineering.
- Project management experience.
- Construction and start-up experience.
