Particleboard Continuous Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Particleboard Continuous Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining continuous press machinery used in the production of particleboard. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality control standards.

Schedule : 12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights. Starting pay : $21 / hour

Location : Lexington (US) North Carolina Contract Type : Full-time

Job Functions :

• Machine Operation : Set up and operate continuous press machinery to produce particleboard according to specifications and production schedules. Adjust and optimize recipes to maintain and improve quality and increase output.
• Monitoring Production : Continuously monitor the production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and that product quality meets company standards.
• Quality Control : Conduct regular inspections of particleboard for defects, thickness, and other quality parameters. Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain quality.
• Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on the continuous press and related equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Ensure area is maintained in a clean, tidy and organized condition.
• Troubleshooting : Identify and troubleshoot any issues with the machinery or production process, coordinating with maintenance personnel as needed.
• Record Keeping : Record and compile operational data, complete and maintain accurate production logs, forms, and reports, including quantities produced, downtime, and any issues encountered during the shift.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all Company policies, safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other team members including supervisors and quality control personnel, to ensure the Conti area (Tank Farm, Glue Kitchen, Spreader, Conti Roll, Saw, Finishing - which is part of the Raw Board Production Department) to meet production goals and improve processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
