The Role :
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, individualized mental health care to seniors in the comfort of their homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.
Your responsibilities will include :
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including evaluating mental health status, cognitive function, and behavioral concerns in elderly patients.
Developing and implementing personalized mental health care plans, addressing conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and other geriatric psychiatric disorders.
Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications while monitoring patients for side effects, interactions, and treatment efficacy.
Collaborating seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
Providing crisis intervention and mental health education for patients and their families, enhancing their understanding and management of mental health conditions.
Building trusting relationships with patients, families, and caregivers through empathy, active listening, and exceptional communication.
