Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will :
- Collaborate with Tax Accountants to oversee tax payments and returns.
- Conduct regular, meticulous audits to ensure precision in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
- Predict revenue and scrutinize profit margins.
- Engage in budgeting processes.
- Supervise ledger reconciliation and oversee accounts payable / receivable.
- Monitor bookkeeping activities.
- Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and regulatory changes.
- Manage organization and upkeep of digital and physical financial records.
- Play an active and leading role in operations, legal, and business-related projects.
Qualifications :
- Profound understanding of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures; adept at monitoring daily transactions and suggesting process improvements.
- Previous accounting work experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Admin, Fund to Fund, Financial Services and a degree in accounting are mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Demonstrable work experience as an Accountant.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Thorough grasp of accounting and financial procedures.
- Knowledgeable about state and federal tax regulations, including tax form processes and accurate form preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
