Registered Nurse (RN) - Pain Center - South - PRN

The Opportunity :

As a Registered Nurse in our Ambulatory Surgery Center located at our South location in Overland Park, Kansas you will have the opportunity to work in various work environments, including assisting with various procedures.

This surgery center is a single specialty, Pain Management. You will see a variety of conditions and pain management treatments.

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, professional, patient-centered, intuitive RN who enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced environment and is committed to patient satisfaction and helping their team succeed to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Shift - PRN Monday through Friday

Hours

Monday-Thursday

0730-1700 two days / week

0730-1300 two days / week

NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS, NO CALL, NO HOLIDAYS

Pre / Post Procedure RN duties include :

• Assist with rooming patients
• Obtain medication, health history and procedural consent
• Provide patient education
• Discharge patients

Procedure RN duties include

• Assist with various procedures, joint injections, trigger injections, IV Medications, and more.
• This is a hands on RN position where you can be part of an inclusive, collaborative and helpful team that keeps patient care a priority and is always going above and beyond to help each other.

The Work

• Provides professional nursing care for pain patients following established standards and practices.
• Responsible for telephone screening (with protocols), medication / injection education, assist with procedures, dressing changes, and other duties as assigned by respective clinic.
• Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

Associate Degree
