Quantitative Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join our Financial Markets team at Standard Chartered Bank in New York. The successful candidate will be working with the Executive Director of Quantitative Analyst teamas well as other team members to drive origination, develop strong client relationships and be seen as an expert in Credit Analysis as well as Quantitative Analysis by internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate will need to be able to develop and maintain models for the pricing and risk management of derivative productsas well as delivering model documentation, testing materials and improving and maintaining existing analytics.
The candidate will further have to research into alternative models and numerical techniques as well as ongoing assessment of models published in industry or academic literature.
Providing day-to-day support for relevant business units will be a daily task for this role as well.
We appreciate self-driven candidates who will be working closely with the wider Quantitative Analysts team, coverage and product partners to develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and identify prospective partners who can address customer needs and accelerate growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain models for the pricing and risk management of derivative products.
- Delivery of model documentation and testing material.
- Improving and maintaining existing analytics.
- Research into alternative models and numerical techniques as well as ongoing assessment of models published in industry or academic literature.
- Provide day-to-day support for relevant business units.
Qualifications
- Qualifications in a quantitative subject (e.g., Financial Mathematics, Master's, or PhD).
- Strong academic qualifications in a quantitative subject (e.g., Financial Mathematics, Master's, or PhD).
- Experience developing / validating financial markets derivative pricing / risk models in an international bank.
- Good knowledge of interest rate or credit models, numerical methods, stochastic calculus, and probability theory.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written English).
- Some knowledge of C++ programming is essential.
- Knowledge of financial market products, market conventions and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of functional programming (e.g. Haskell) is a plus.

Recruitment Assessments
Expected annual base pay range for the role is 100,000 USD to 100,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location.
