Position Summary : A Licensed Engineer who uses experience to perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all aspects of engineering design, serving as an SME on areas of expertise.

Holding a key position in supervising, mentoring, and motivating junior staff, you are accountable for exemplifying K2M’s mission and core values, fostering a culture of trust and respect, and encouraging open and honest communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provides professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects.
  • Acts as liaison with Project Management, Architects, other Engineers, and consultants.
  • Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
  • Develops and represents the lead technical viewpoint on projects.
  • Coordinates with Director on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
  • Coordinates activities and provides developmental support / training to less experienced staff.
  • Uses skills to resolve conflicting design requirements.
  • Provides QA / QC review of deliverables.
  • Prepares reports and client correspondence on assigned projects.
  • Participates in marketing and sales efforts, including reviewing and developing engineering fees for proposals.
  • Supporting the Talent Acquisition process for hiring and onboarding new engineers.
  • Assist in developing Strategic Plan for Engineering and monitor progress towards goals and business objectives.
  • Participate in Discipline Leader, Leadership and Sales Meetings as well as Quarterly Operations Meeting.
  • Motivate individuals to achieve organization and personal goals.
  • Empower team members to improve their confidence, industry knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Conduct quarterly conversations and contribute to annual reviews process.
  • Travels for client meetings, consultant coordination, site surveys, construction administration, etc. 15% of time reserved for travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • 15+ years experience in the field of AEC Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License, required.
  • Revit proficiency, required.
  • Position only available to candidates residing in EST and CST time zones.
