Registered Nurse - Maternal Child Health - Float Pool - Encinitas/La Jolla - Part-Time (Nights)

Job Description

This is a Part-Time (48 hours per pay period) position, with a 12-hour NIGHT shift schedule, on variable days of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Position floats between Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

This position covers both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum.

As a Registered Nurse for the Maternal Child Health Float Pool team, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of his / her practice. In addition

• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients’ progress towards expected outcomes.
• The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under his / her supervision.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Position Pay Range : $57.00-$81.60 / hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.

Preferred Experience / Specialized Skills / Certification / Education :

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• EPIC experience.
• RNC-OB.

Required Experience / Specialized Skills :

• 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery AND Post-Partum
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Required Certification / Registration :

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association
• Current Advanced NRP (AAP-Issued 7th or 8th edition)
• Current Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring from AWHONN or NCC

Required Education / Course(s) / Training :

Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Position is eligible for a $2,000 retention based off meeting qualifications.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department / specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
