Senior Electrical Engineer - (Solar & BESS)
Location : Colorado
Salary : $98,000 - $134,000
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team, specializing in utility-scale PV Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects of 20MW or larger.

Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of electrical design packages for utility-scale PV Solar and BESS projects.
- Oversee and ensure quality assurance / quality control (QA / QC) for medium voltage collection system designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in inverter-based technologies and power system design.
- Create and review key design deliverables : Single Line Diagrams, collection system layouts, communication diagrams, cable schedules, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure designs comply with fire, electrical, and building codes.
Required Knowledge & Experience :
- Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE / ANSI standards, and electrical equipment like MV / LV switchgear, inverters, transformers, and battery systems.
- Experience with AC / DC cable sizing, arc flash analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
- Proficiency in software such as ETAP or SKM for short circuit analysis and reactive capability analysis.

- Ability to lead and actively participate in project planning meetings.
- Strong mentorship abilities, fostering the development of junior engineers.
