Tax Preparation Professional

We are looking for a Tax Preparation Professional to join our team! This role will consist of the preparation of individual, business, and estate / trust tax returns. The desired candidate will have 2+ years of tax experience. We are a firm with a reputation for knowledge and integrity. We currently have three different office locations—Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, and Wyoming, the location for this position is in our Grand Haven or Wyoming offices. Responsibilities Prepare state and local sales tax returns, personal property tax returns, gift tax returns, and income returns for businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates Manage and cultivate relationships with clients of varying sizes and scopes, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure client satisfaction, effective communication, and ongoing business development Communicate with the IRS and respond to notices on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of tax issues Assist with client bookkeeping and payroll as needed Analyze tax liability Prepare tax projections Required Qualifications 2+ years of tax preparation experience (4+ years preferred) Bachelor’s Degree or higher level of education (in accounting or tax) Team player Desired Qualifications QuickBooks Online Accounting experience preferred, not required Hours of Operation Work week of approximately 42.5 hours Overtime during tax season, work week consisting of approximately 50-60 hours Partial remote opportunities available Benefits 401(k) after 60 days Paid vacation and holidays Tax season bonus Health Insurance Compensation Based on experience Employment Type : Full Time Bonus / Commission : No
