City Experiences is seeking a Server for our operations in San Francisco and Berkeley.
About the Opportunity :
Use your serving and people skills to add magic to City Experiences Cruise and Events public cruises and private events.
Successful candidates will possess the ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment and display the willingness to be a team player, handling bar duties and assisting with vessel preparation and closure.
Days, evenings and weekend shifts available.
About You :
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Attentive service for our various products which may include a champagne brunch buffet, cocktail receptions, plated meal service and more
- Must be able to navigate stairs while carrying trays of food
- Dining room set-up restock and clean during each shift
- Perform all duties efficiently in the time allotted
- Work and collaborate with Vessel operations crew and kitchen team to satisfy 100% of our guests
- Collect money, accurately make change and accurately input into POS
- Serve guests and fill server orders quickly and courteously
- Check IDs in accordance with beverage guidelines
- Diplomatically handle difficult customer service situations while maintaining Hornblower standards and following applicable liquor laws.
- Perform all duties efficiently in the time allotted.
- Take pride in personal grooming and how you present yourself to others.
- Teamwork is highly valued and you must work well with others.
- Enjoy beautiful bay views and learn about our products and San Francisco trivia to share with our guests.
- Safety is an important part of our culture. Must adhere to all safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications :
- Minimum 6 months food service experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months hospitality experience, with knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
- 21 years or older
- Food Handler Certification required; TIPS certification desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC.
- Experience with a Point of Service (POS) system.
- Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are available. A flexible schedule is required.
