DEPARTMENT : Facility Maintenance Devos Place and Van Andel Arena
REPORTS TO : Director of Facilities
POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsibilities include managing the building maintenance program, Keeping all safety training programs up to date, willingness to stand up in front of others to teach the safety programs, Help set up shows, Step in and help the Director of Facilities when needed, preferred applicant to be detail oriented, mechanically inclined, comfortable with heights and willing to be on Scissor Lifts and Boom Lifts.
Need to have a willingness to work with others in a teamwork type atmosphere.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Altum Corporate Program
- Safety Trainings
- Investigate Safety issues.
- Help out with some construction projects within the buildings
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
- Experience in Facility Management
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Must be able to work independently as well as with others
- Ability to read and understand prints, and follow directions is required.
- Physical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally, stoop, bend, twist, climb
- Hi-lo and Lift experience would be preferred but not required
WORKING CONDITIONS :
This position may have irregular work hours that may include nights, weekends, and holidays as required to cover events or to complete Building tasks.
Position is full-time, hourly, with overtime as necessary.
This position may be exposed to adverse conditions inside and outside of the facility, including inclement weather, noise, fumes, cold, etc.
