Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with Kawasaki vendors to ensure proper procedures and vendor guidelines are followed.
- Leads corrective action initiatives with poor performing vendors.
- Identifies and evaluates opportunities for vendors to perform better, reduce costs, and improve on time and product quality.
- Monitors, evaluates, audits and establishes vendor packaging guidelines
- Negotiate resolution with suppliers relative to quality and service issues. Provide feedback to senior level representatives of suppliers on quality and delivery performance to assure continuous improvement in those areas.
- Coach and train vendors on KMC processes to improve performance through facilitating meetings, benchmarking performance, on site visits, peer vendor category evaluations.
- Monitors current processes to identify positive or negative trends with individual vendors performances
- Assist in creation and execution of regular monthly compliance reporting and develop plans and participate in regular audits
- Identifies financial compliance impact and reports to management
- Acts as project lead for vendor compliance projects, enhancements and initiatives, supports supply chain group on business initiatives
- Develops and oversees certain vendor training activities
- Works cross-functionally with the product development, global sourcing, supply chain, transportation and distribution teams to communicate and resolve vendor opportunities
- Works with the business teams to complete required due diligence for vendor onboarding
- Work with management and product development on new product development and product enhancement programs to ensure effective sourcing of materials to meet specifications, material requirements, and pricing from suppliers.
Actively seek creative supply solutions to optimize cost and value equation
- Develop relationships in the marketplace to understand and stay abreast of industry changes which may impact various business management programs as it relates to pricing trends and new products.
- Ensure all supplier contracts are complete, properly executed
- Drives process to develop and maintain requirements for a vendor to do business with KMC
- Drafts and sends communications to vendors regarding various compliance and other issues
- Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends / events, and continually monitor competitor / industry developments
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities, transportation cost, and supplier's reputation and performance history.
- Enhance supplier development by communicating performance standards, developing joint improvement initiatives, and actively soliciting formal feedback.
- Promote the achievement of corporate goals and objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) or equivalent from four-year college is preferred;
and minimum three years related experience and / or training in an inventory management environment; or equivalent combination of education experience.

Inventory software access software.
Salary Range : $75,000.00 - $82,000.00
