The Administrative Nursing Manager at Montefiore Medical Group is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the administrative and nursing functions within the healthcare facility.

This position requires a strong background in nursing along with excellent organizational and managerial skills to ensure the efficient operation of the nursing department.

Hours : Monday Friday; 8 : 30a-5 : 00p

Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership to the nursing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Manage and coordinate daily nursing operations, ensuring optimal patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to nursing activities, staff schedules, and patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s in Nursing or health related field highly preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Several years of progressive nursing experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception : an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer / promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance;

an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer / promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension.

Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department.

Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3 / 5 of the normal workweek.
