Job Description

What you will bedoing :

• Providing great patientcare.
• Answering patient calls and determininghow best to help them.
• Providing physicalsupport for patients or residents with daily activities andpersonal hygiene including bathing dressing getting out of bedusing the toilet walking standing or exercising.
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate dietby reviewing their dietary restrictions food allergies andpreferences.
• Obtaining a wide range ofinformation from physicians caregivers and nurses about patientconditions treatment plans and suggested activities.
• Measuring and recording food and liquid intake andurinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical ornursing staff.
• Recording vital signs includingblood pressure pulse temperature and respiration rate as requestedby staff.
• Examining patients to detect issuesrequiring medical care including open wounds bruises or blood inthe urine.
• Reminding patients to takemedications and nutritional supplements.
• Noting observations of patient behavior includingcomplaints or physical symptoms to nurses.
• Staying up to date on CNA training and facility policyand procedure.

Experience you willneed :

• State Certified NursingAssistant Certification.
• Current CPR (AmericanHeart Association).
• Nursing degree from a CNAprogram.
• Ability to think and workindependently and with direction and communicate with staff membersin a fastpaced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Current certification as a Certified NursingAssistant.
• High School graduate orequivalent.
• Current identification.
• Comfortable using a computer.
• Excellent personal hygiene.
