Responsibilities The Patient Access Emergency Room Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, supervision and scheduling of the registration staff’s functions across multiple areas including but not limited to the Freestanding FED's.
This position requires a detailed knowledge base in registration, The Emergency Department and Revenue Cycle practices, as well as an understanding of how these areas impact the flow of work throughout the departments and organization.
The Supervisor is responsible for assisting in developing and enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring the accuracy of registration data entered by associates, ensuring that the proper patient experience protocols are followed, monitoring the staff’s interaction with patients and peers, monitoring co-pay collections and goals, and clearing issues in various registration and billing reports along with managing the overall training and coordination of work within the department.

Counsels and administers corrective action when applicable. Meets the educational and developmental needs of the staff by orientating, training and providing follow up on Corporate measured standards.
Monitors reports relative to the work area for compliance to policy and procedure and on-going evaluation of indicated changes.
Performs job candidate interviews and hires new employees along with department Manager. Assist in taking call for staffing needs or process issues.
