School Nurse
A NJ-based non-profit providing a wide range of special education services, therapies, and supports to children, teens and adults with cerebral palsy and other complex developmental disabilities is currently seeking Registered Nurses for their educational programs.
RNs looking to aid the educational and social development of individuals with special needs and create advancements in their professional career are encouraged to apply directly to this job post.
The base pay range for this position is $45 to $50 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level, among other things.
Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. This is a true temp-to-perm role;

- Responsibilities : *
- Providing relevant nursing services to students with special needs, intellectual / developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, and / or seizure disorders
- Provides special health care and related services to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
- Verifying vaccination records
- Taking temperatures when fever is suspected
- Administering first aid and CPR
- Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises
- Contacting parents when students are ill or injured
- Qualifications : *
- NJ State Registered Nurse
- Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- Prior experience with pediatric and / or developmentally disabled populations
