Asphalt Superintendent
Overview :
We are actively partnered with a leading asphalt contractor with a key office located in San Antonio, TX. They are looking for an experienced Asphalt Superintendent to join their team and be a key part of their rapid growth.
This position involves contributing to the overall success of paving projects that can easily be valued at over $1 million.
These projects are typically for residential roads, parking lots, and even the occasional highway.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with a variety of team members with a variety of specialties. This can include laborers, operators, and foremen
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold industry standards and client expectations.
- Monitor project schedule and timecards for team members
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on construction sites, adhering to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Meet with upper management to go over progress and, if needed, create a plan to get back on track
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent role.
- Experience overseeing 3+ construction sites at once with several crews reporting to you
- Familiarity with job tracking such as HCSS HeavyJob
- Proven drive to surpass expectations and be a leader amongst your peers.
