The Utilization Review RN is accountable for a designated caseload and plans effectively to manage the length of stay, promote efficient utilization of resources and facilitate payer authorization.
The UR RN / Case Manager :
- Facilitates collaborative management of patient care, intervenes as necessary to remove barriers to efficient care delivery,
- Applies process improvement methodologies in evaluating the outcomes of care coordination, and
- Supports and coaches clinical documentation by staff and providers ensuring documentation reflects the severity of illness and intensity of service.

Requirement description :
- Computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel. - Required
- Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience, one year of case management, discharge planning and / or utilization review experience - Required
- Knowledge of performance improvement principles, tools and techniques.
- Case Management certification- Required
- Prior travel experience - Preferred
- BSN - Preferred
