We are looking for an Advanced Line Crew Journeyperson to join the Kennecott Utah Copper Power High Voltage team and contribute to safe and efficient operation.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Electrical High Voltage and working in a collaborative community, you will be :
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and construction of high voltage power lines
- Performing high voltage switching procedures
- Performing all duties according to Rio Tinto Kennecott Utah Copper safety standards
- Maintaining and performing various duties within power substations
- Accepting on-call assignments
- Receiving instructions from Supervisors related to operating or controlling assigned
What you'll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Completed or currently enrolled in Electrical Power Technology program Utah Class A CDL license (or be willing to acquire this license)
- Journeyman Lineman certificate or 1 or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of high voltage power systems, i.e., operation, functions, and terminology of related laws, codes, and regulations
- Ability to train and instruct in all aspects of the Line trade.

Where you’ll be working
Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum, and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.
S. annual copper production.
