Overview
Evaluates and treats patients of all ages who suffered loss of upper, lower extremities function, balance, coordination, endurance, or present with pain, or wounds / burns due to illnesses, trauma, or surgery.
This position creates a treatment plan based on assessment findings and works with patients and families to achieve the highest possible level of independence.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)
- Designs and implements treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
- Educates patients and family members.
- Evaluates patients muscle strength, ROM, endurance, balance, pain, skin integrity and overall function level.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews.
- Supervises PT and PTA students as needed.
- Supervises PTA and Aides as needed.
Qualifications

- Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates flexibility in order to meet unanticipated demands and priorities.
- Knowledgable in the principles of growth and development over life span.
- Possess skills to work with patients of all ages from infant to geriatric.
- Ability to perform work safely at all times adhering to the safety policies and procedures as well as the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Ability to perform all duties in a courteous and kind manner placing the patients and families needs first.
- Ability to assist other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors Physical Therapy Required
- 1 Healthcare / Medical - Physical Therapy Preferred
- Licensed Physical Therapist
- Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
